Humboldt Park shooting today: 7-year-old shot, seriously injured near 3200-block of West Division Street, fire department says

A 7-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting on the city's Northwest Side on Thursday evening, the Chicago Fire Department said.

CFD said the shooting happened near the Humboldt Park neighborhood's 3200-block of West Division Street just after 7 p.m.

The child, shot in the arm, was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, CFD said.

The circumstances surround the shooting were not immediately clear.
