Humboldt Park, Chicago shooting: Man fatally shot inside car near North Saint Louis and West Wabansia, police department says
A man was shot to death inside of his car on the city's Northwest Side on Friday night, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Humboldt Park neighborhood near North Saint Louis and West Wabansia avenues just before 9 p.m.
A 30-year-old man was inside of his parked vehicle when a suspect walked up, took out a gun and opened fire, police said.
The victim, shot in the head, was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooter fled the scene on foot, police said.
There is no one in custody, and Area Five detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
