Highland, Indiana man suspected of shooting wife arrested after chase ends in Lansing, Illinois, police say

Highland, Indiana police are investigating a shooting involving a husband and wife that led to a police chase.

Police said a woman drove herself to a police station, saying she had been shot several times by her husband at their home in the 700 block of Sandalwood Drive in Highland, Indiana.

Police later tracked the man's vehicle, and that's when a police chase started, officials said.

The chase ended when the man crashed into another vehicle near 88 and Torrence Avenue in Lansing, Illinois.

Video from the Citizen app showed the aftermath.

The suspect was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries from the crash, police said.

The woman was also taken to a hospital for gunshot wounds, but her condition was unknown.
