East Side, Chicago shooting: Gabriella Arellano found dead in alley in 11000-block of Mackinaw Avenue, police, officials say
A 17-year-old girl was found shot to death in a Southeast Side alley on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the girl was found unresponsive in the East Side neighborhood's 11000-block of South Mackinaw Avenue just after 10:15 a.m.
The victim had two gunshot wounds to the head. Police said she died at the scene.
She was identified as Gabriela Arellano.
What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.
No one is in custody, and Area Two detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information.
