East Garfield Park, Chicago shooting today: Suspect enters home, fatally shoots man on West Warren Boulevard, CPD says

A suspect entered a West Side home and fatally shot a man on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the East Garfield Park neighborhood's 3100-block of West Warren Boulevard just after 10:15 a.m.

A suspect entered the building and opened fire, striking a 37-year-old man, police said.

The victim, who suffered three gunshot wounds to the body, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported.

No one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information.
