Driver killed in crash that sent semi down embankment along Highway 12 in Sacramento County
A driver was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck along Highway 12 near Rio Vista, according to the California Highway Patrol. Highway 12 is shut down in both directions in the area. Just before 4 p.m., officers responded to the crash on Highway 12 near Highway 160. Officials said the crash involved the semi and a Cadillac. The driver of the Cadillac died at the scene. The crash sent the semi off the road and down an embankment, CHP said. The semi-truck driver had minor injuries from the crash. CHP said the roadway is blocked in both directions along Highway 12 at Highway 160. Motorists are advised to avoid the area. See the latest traffic information. See news happening?
