One person has died after a stolen vehicle slammed into several cars in Philadelphia's East Oak Lane section.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of N 2nd Street and Cheltenham Avenue.
Investigators say the driver of a stolen Dodge Durango was speeding through the area when the vehicle hit several parked cars before colliding with a Hyundai at the intersection.
The impact left the Hyundai mangled. One person inside was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to identify the victim but have not yet released their name.
Police say the SUV had been reported stolen prior to the crash.
Both Philadelphia police and crash investigators remained at the scene for hours overnight, collecting debris and reviewing nearby surveillance footage.
