Douglas County man sentenced to prison for killing Council Bluffs man
A judge sentenced a man to prison for killing Patrick Weber in 2023.Cameron Rogers previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter and tampering with evidence.On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 20 to 22 years in prison. Council Bluffs police said the family reported Weber missing after he didn't return to Kearney, and they were unable to make contact with him.His body was eventually found along Rainwood Road.In April, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Bellevue police served a search warrant at a residence for Rogers.In October, Rogers took a plea deal, pleading guilty to manslaughter and tampering with evidence.He will get credit for 607 days of time served.Click here for the latest headlines from KETV NewsWatch 7
