South Philadelphia had a visit from Hollywood over the weekend.
Production crews were outside the Mummers Museum at 2nd Street and Washington Avenue filming scenes for a short film called "Philly Pretzels."
The film follows Barry, a soft pretzel street vendor, played by actor and Abington, Montgomery County native, Adam Shapiro.
Director Justin Crowell says the film is a love letter to his hometown.
He wants to pay tribute to the city's unique soft pretzels that were a staple of his childhood.
"Ever since my dad and I would come down to Flyers games and buy pretzels from a guy on the side of the road, just talking to those people. And they clearly were such a part of the community and it meant so much to me that they were always there," he said.
"Philly Pretzels" is expected to be released in 2026.
