Nearly five months after a man was killed in Chicago, two suburban men are facing murder and home invasion charges, police said.
The shooting happened on March 22 at about 2:45 a.m. in the 6400-block of North Richmond Street, Chicago police said.
Police said a 32-year-old man was arguing with two other people when an exchange of gunfire ensued.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the desk. He died at the hospital.
CPD officers recovered a weapon at the scene.
On August 12, police said they arrested two men accused of shooting and killing the man in a home invasion.
Demontre Eason, 25 of Buffalo Grove, was charged with two murder charges and one felony count of home invasion.
Justin Neal-Guy, 31 of Evanston, was charged with two murder charges, one felony count of home invasion and one count of issuance of warrant.
Both suspects are due in court on Thursday.
