A man was fatally shot Wednesday morning in Sacramento, officials said. Officers with the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched just before 12:45 a.m. to investigate reports of a possible shooting in the 200 block of Bannon Street in the Southern Pacific / Richards neighborhood, the police department said.Upon arrival, officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound. He was then taken to a nearby hospital, where he died, the police department said. Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
