Crete Township shooting leaves man dead, woman critically injured on East Exchange Street
One man is dead, a woman critically injured in a shooting in south suburban Crete Township Tuesday, the Will County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies found a black car with multiple bullet holes in the 2300-block of East Exchange Street at about 9:15 p.m.
Two people were inside both were shot multiple times, the sheriff's office said.
The man died from his injuries and the woman remains in the hospital in critical condition, the sheriff's office said.
Approximately 40 shell casings were found on the ground, the sheriff's office said.
