CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a possible gun threat incident on Fort Eddy Road on Monday afternoon.

Around 12:15 p.m., police dispatch received a report from a caller about an incident outside the Hannaford supermarket involving a Facebook Marketplace sale gone bad and one party pointing a gun at another. The suspect fled the scene in a white Honda with a Massachusetts registration. The victim purchased a cellphone from another person but requested their money back. After doing so, the suspect pointed the gun at him, dispatch said.

The victim was inside a red SUV with a Maine registration. The dispatcher said there were language barrier issues, but the victim took down the suspect's license plate registration and gave it to 911. They also stated they believed the driver of the Honda drove south, toward Exit 14, after leaving the parking lot.

Several officers were sent to the scene while dispatch attempted to gather more information. The first officer to arrive at the scene said they did not see any white Hondas on their way to the shopping center.

The dispatcher told officers the victim mentioned something about Petco, too, according to scanner chatter.

The first officer found the victim in their vehicle in the north-end parking lot of Hannaford. Later, the officer learned the incident occurred at Petco, but they gave no reason why the victim was now parked on the other side of the shopping center.
