Chicago shooting: Woman shot, critically injured while inside vehicle on West 23rd Place in Little Village, police say
A woman was shot and critically injured while sitting in a vehicle traveling Friday evening on the city's Southwest Side.
The shooting happened around 7:21 p.m. in the 600 block of West 23rd Place, Chicago police said.
The 23-year-old woman was a passenger in a vehicle when someone fired shots, hitting her in the back of the head. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
