Chicago shooting, today: Woman shot on North Side at 5700-block of N. Broadway Avenue, Chicago police says suspect in custody
Chicago police are investigating a shooting on the city's North Side on Monday morning.
The shooting happened at about 9 a.m. in the 5700-block of N. Broadway Avenue in the Edgewater neighborhood, police said.
A woman, 23, was in an argument with a man, police said.
The man then pulled out a gun and shot the woman in the left shoulder, police said.
She was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition.
The suspect allegedly ran off, however police said he was promptly taken into custody.
Charges are pending.
No other information was available.
