Chicago shooting, today: Man shot in Loop at Lake and Wabash near 7-Eleven, police say he self-transported to Northwestern

Chicago police said a man was shot in the Loop early on Monday.

At about 1:13 a.m. a 36-year-old man arrived to Northwestern Hospital with two gunshot wounds, police said.

The victim told police he was on the sidewalk on Lake Street near Wabash Avenue, when he felt pain.

Chicago police said he was shot twice in the left thigh.

At last check he was expected to be OK.

No other information regarding the shooting was available. CPD said nobody is in custody.
