A 52-year-old man was shot and seriously injured Tuesday morning during an armed robbery at a Southwest Side bank, Chicago fire officials said.
CFD said the incident took place about 10 a.m. at a Chase Bank in the 4300-block of South Archer Avenue in Brighton Park.
The man is an armored truck security guard, CFD said.

Chicago fire officials said the man was shot in both legs, and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
Chicago police did not immediately provide any information about what led up to the robbery and shooting.
