Chicago shooting seriously injures 2 men, 1 woman on West 15th Street in Lawndale: CPD

Three people were seriously injured in a shooting Monday morning on Chicago's West Side, Chicago police said.

Two men and a woman were outside in the 3400-block of West 15th Street in Lawndale about 10:10 a.m., when a male suspect approached and opened fire, police said.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the back and neck and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

A 27-year-old woman was shot in the stomach and taken to Mt. Sinai in serious condition, but she remained stable, police said.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the arm and taken to Mt. Sinai in serious condition. He also remained stable, police said.

The suspect got into a gray sedan and drove north, police said.

No one was in custody later Monday, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
