Chicago shooting, North Austin: 17-year-old girl shot in 1800-block of N. Latrobe Avenue, Chicago police say

Chicago police are investigating after a teenage girl was shot in the back on Sunday night.

The shooting happened at about 9:38 p.m. in the 1800-block of N. Latrobe Avenue in the North Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

A 17-year-old girl was in a car when she was shot in the back by known man, police said.

She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Chicago police said nobody is in custody. CPD continues their investigation.
