A 25-year-old man and 53-year-old woman were critically wounded in a shooting on the West Side Wednesday night, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 10:30 p.m. in the 500-block of North Central Avenue.
Officers were patrolling when they heard a loud noise and discovered the two victims, police said.
A 25-year-old man was wounded in the chest and transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
A 53-year-old woman was wounded in the groin and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one is in custody and Area Four detectives are investigating.
