Chicago shooting: Man shot, killed outside Little Caesars near Cermak, Rockwell in Little Village, police say

There was a deadly shooting outside of a pizza shop Friday afternoon in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.

A man was killed in the shooting in the 2600 block of West Cermak near Rockwell, Chicago police said.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, was approached by an unknown vehicle that an armed offender exited, CPD said. The man was shot in the face and body.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim's identity was not yet known.

Chopper 7 was over the scene, where evidence markers could be seen on the ground in the parking lot of a Little Caesars restaurant.

Police are still investigating the shooting. There have been no arrests.
