Chicago shooting kills child on South Prairie Avenue in Washington Park: Cook County Medical Examiner's Office

A child has been shot and killed on Chicago's South Side, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said Wednesday morning.

The shooting took place in the 6000-block of South Prairie Avenue in Washington Park.

Officials did not immediately provide any additional information about the child, what led up to the shooting or when it happened.
