Chicago shooting: Kazeem Jinadu, 49, found shot to death inside Greater Grand Crossing home on East 72nd Street, officials say

A man was found shot to death Friday night inside of his home on the city's South Side.

The shooting happened around 10:21 p.m. at a residence in the 400 block of East 72nd Street in Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to the home, where they found a 49-year-old man who had been shot multiple times in his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Kazeem Jinadu, 49. His address was also listed as being in the 400 block of East 72nd Street.

A firearm has been recovered, but no arrests have been made, CPD said.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate the shooting as a homicide.
