Chicago shooting: Girl, 17, wounded in shooting outside South Loop Jewel-Osco store, police say
A 17-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting outside a Jewel-Osco grocery store in the South Loop Tuesday night, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 10:32 p.m. in the 1200-block of South Wabash Avenue.
A witness told police there was an altercation between the girl and a suspect which became physical and a gun went off.
The victim was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was in good condition, police said.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
