A 16-year-old girl was critically injured Thursday morning, when she was shot inside a South Side home, Chicago police said.
The girl was in a home in the 5600-block of South Michigan Avenue in Washington Park just before 7:10 a.m., when she was shot in the chin, police said.
She was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
No one else was injured.

There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
CPD did not immediately provide any additional information about what led up to the shooting.
