Chicago shooting: Aung Kyaw charged in shooting motorist after argument in West Rogers Park, police say

A 22-year-old Chicago man is accused of shooting a driver after an argument in West Rogers Park, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened on Wednesday at about 8:40 p.m. in the 2300-block of West Devon Avenue.

Police said a man was inside a car when he got into a fight with a pedestrian.

The 31-year-old man got out of the car and the pedestrian took out a gun and shot him in the abdomen, police said.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The suspect was later identified as Aung Kyaw of Chicago.

Police said Kyaw wsa arrested about 40 minutes after the shooting in the 6300 block of N. Western Avenue.

Kyaw was charged with attempted murder and one felony count of aggravated battery.
