The Cook County Medical Examiner determined that the older Qouqazeh died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and chest, and officially ruled the death a homicide.
The son was found at the scene and taken into police custody. Following an investigation, the Cook County State's Attorney approved a felony charge of first -degree murder.
