Chicago police issued another warning Tuesday about an armed thief targeting businesses mostly on the Northwest Side.
The suspect in each incident is described by police as a 20-30-year-old man wearing a beige baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt, black cargo pants and black gym shoes. In each incident the suspect enters the business, displays a gun and demands money from employees.
Robberies occurred in a variety of Northwest neighborhoods at the following locations and times:
- 3900-block of South Archer Avenue at 5:18 a.m. Aug. 9 (Brighton Park)
- 6000-block of West Higgins Avenue at 11:50 a.m. Aug. 19 (Jefferson Park)
- 2000-block of North Damen Avenue at 1:38 p.m. Aug. 19 (Bucktown)
- 2700-block of North Harlem Avenue at 7:21 p.m. Aug. 26 (Montclare)
- 2400-block of West 103rd Street at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 31 (West Beverly)
This follows a warning released Sunday about an armed thief targeting businesses in the North Park and Norwood Park neighborhoods on the Northwest Side.
