Chicago police shooting critically injures man on South Michigan Avenue in Washington Park: officials

A man was shot and critically injured by Chicago police Tuesday, officials said.

The police shooting took place in the 5600-block of South Michigan Avenue in Washington Park, according to the Civilian Office of Police Accountability.

The man was critically injured in the shooting and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, officials said.

Sources said no Chicago police officers were injured in the incident.
