A 27-year-old man and a six-year-old boy were injured in an attack in Lincoln Park Sunday night, Chicago police said.
The incident occurred at about 10:24 p.m. in the 2700-block of North Sheffield Avenue.
Police said the victims were walking when a suspect became aggressive, took out a sharp object and got involved in a physical altercation with the victims.
The boy suffered a minor laceration to the back and the ma had a puncture wound in the left arm, police said. Both were transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where they were listed in fair condition.
The suspect fled on foot and is not in custody, police said. Area Three detectives are investigating.
