Chase suspect leads authorities on high-speed pursuit through East LA area: WATCH LIVE
A driver on Thursday morning was leading authorities on a high-speed chase through the East Los Angeles area.
By 11:15 a.m., the pursuit had been active for at least 30 minutes as the suspect sped along surface streets as a Los Angeles County sheriff's helicopter gave chase overhead.
California Highway Patrol and LASD patrol vehicles were intermittently in pursuit on the ground.
The circumstances that prompted the chase were not immediately known.
