A Bronx man is facing murder, manslaughter and weapons charges, accused of shooting and killing another man at a public housing complex in the borough Sunday. Police said the incident broke a 12-day streak without a homicide in the city.

Police said Grant lived in the building where the shooting occurred, and Stewart lived more than 4 miles away in Wakefield. Officials said the violence stemmed from a dispute related to a shooting earlier this month, but they were still investigating a motive.
Grant appeared before a judge in Bronx Criminal Court on Tuesday morning and was ordered held without bail. His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The fatal shooting ended a record streak without homicides in New York City, tying a similar stretch in 2015, police said.
