Bronx bodega shooting: NYPD searching for suspects after 24-year-old man shot during dispute in Wakefield

Police are searching for several suspects after a 24-year-old man was shot during a dispute at a bodega in the Bronx on Thursday night.

It happened inside a store on East 236th Street around 6:30 p.m.

Police say the victim was approached by three individuals before a verbal dispute broke out.

One of the suspects displayed a gun and fired multiple shots, striking the victim in his thigh and abdomen.

He was rushed to Jacobi hospital where he is said to be stable.

Two of the suspects got away in a white sedan with dark-tinted windows on East 236th Street and the third ran away westbound on East 236th Street.

One suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket with "Amiri" written in white, a second suspect was wearing a surgical mask and a teal jacket and a third suspect was seen wearing an orange jacket with black writing and a red sweatshirt.

All are believed to be approximately 20 to 30 years old.

No arrests have been made and the motive for the shooting is not known.
