Beverly Hills chase: Video shows police execute PIT maneuver on stolen box truck
Newly released video shows Beverly Hills police executing a perfect PIT maneuver to stop a stolen box truck during a chase.
The chase happened on Dec. 19, but the video wasn't released until Wednesday.
The suspect stole the box truck in Santa Monica and sped through West Los Angeles before entering Beverly Hills, police said in a social media post.
"Patrol units located the stolen vehicle and a pursuit ensued as the suspect maneuvered through the business district and into the north end of the city," according to the post.
When police caught up with the box truck, officers executed the PIT maneuver. Video shows the patrol vehicle spinning the truck around and bringing it to a stop.
The driver jumped out and tried to run, but officers chased him down and took him into custody.
Police did not release additional details about the suspect or potential charges.
