Indiana State Police are investigating deadly officer-involved shooting in New Chicago on Saturday.
At about 3:30 p.m. Hobart fire paramedics and New Chicago police responded to a 911 call at 216 Huber Boulevard in Hobart, Indiana.
The caller told police there was a dead person inside the residence.
While at the house, the 911 caller, became agitated with the officers, Indiana State Police said.
Police requested an ambulance for a psychological evaluation of the 911 caller.
At about 4:30 p.m., New Chicago police said shots were fired inside the house.
Benjamin Scott, 64, was killed in the shooting, according to the coroner's office.
Indiana State Police said two officers fired their weapons.
Officials said the man the original car was for died of natural causes and also lived at the home.
Nobody was hurt.
No other information was available.
