Beloved 19-year-old college basketball player killed in triple shooting in Hempstead
A beloved 19-year-old college basketball player was killed during a triple shooting on Long Island.
Amira McLeod was a guard on the Monroe University express team.
On Saturday night she and two 20-year-old men were found shot near Willow Ave.
The men are recovering at the hospital, but McLeod was declared dead at the scene.
Monroe University released a statement to say the school community is devastated and grief counseling is available.
