Bay Area toddler dies after accidental shooting, police say
A Bay Area toddler died Tuesday after they accidentally shot themselves, the Antioch Police Department said.Officers went to a home on Clearbrook Road around 6 p.m. for a report of a 3-year-old with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the police department said."This is a heartbreaking event, and our thoughts are with the family and all those affected during this incredibly difficult time," the police department said.Details were not released on the name and gender of the child, or if anyone could be facing any charges for the child being within reach of a weapon. The department said it will release more details as they become available but is asking the community for patience while investigators work to uncover what happened.See news happening?
