Back of the Yards, Chicago robberies: Armed robbery suspects targeting delivery drivers on Wolcott Avenue, police say

Chicago police issued a warning about thieves targeting delivery drivers on the city's South Side.

Police said in each incident, a delivery driver gets out of their vehicle and approaches two suspects, who are standing on the sidewalk, to complete their delivery.

That's when the suspects take out a gun and take property from the delivery driver.

The robberies happened on Sunday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood's 4400-block block of South Wolcott Avenue. The first robbery happened at 9:15 p.m., and the second one happened at 10:45 p.m.

The suspects are described as two boys between 15 and 18 years old. They are about 5-foot-8 and weigh about 150 pounds, and they wear black masks and dark-colored clothing.

Police asked anyone with information to call them at 312-747-8384.
