Two men were shot, one fatally, on the city's West Side on Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Austin neighborhood's 500-block of North Central Avenue just before 11:30 a.m.
Two men, 30 and 26, were standing outside when three armed suspects got out of a white-colored vehicle and fired shots toward them, police said.
The 30-year-old was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 26-year-old, who suffered a graze wound to his foot, refused medical attention.
No one is in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
