A man was found shot to death on Chicago's South Side early Friday morning, police said.
Police a 61-year-old man was found unresponsive in a gangway near West 76th and South Sangamon streets in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood just before 1:30 a.m.
A woman who lives nearby says she heard shots in the area.
The victim, shot in the chest, was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
There is no one in custody, and Area Two detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
