
At least three people were arrested after fights broke out at a protest outside a Turning Point USA event on UC Berkeley's campus Monday, according to a report from KTVU. Video showed police moving in to break up a fight after a man dressed in dark clothing appeared to confront another man in a red shirt. The two men then appeared to hit one another several times in a bloody brawl before officers intervened.It was Turning Point USA's last stop on the tour that Charlie Kirk began before he was shot and killed on Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. Following his death, the tour was rebranded as the "Turning Point Tour" and featured various prominent conservative figures at each stop. Monday's event featured actor Rob Schneider and author Frank Turek.It's not the first time violence has surrounded an event like this at UC Berkeley. In 2019, a representative of the Leadership Institute, which had partnered with Turning Point USA, was assaulted by a member of the public. The university said neither party in that case was involved with UC Berkeley.
