Arrest made in shooting death of 18-year-old in Sacramento's Upper Land Park, police say

More than a year after a shooting left an 18-year-old man dead, the Sacramento Police Department on Wednesday announced an arrest in connection with the attack.Previous coverage in the video player abovePolice said 19-year-old Tejon Davis of Sacramento is now in jail on homicide-related charges. He was taken into custody in June of this year, but the department posted about the arrest on Wednesday.On June 23, 2024, officers went to 5th Street near Seavey Circle for a report of a shooting, police said. There, they found one man with at least one gunshot wound.Officers tried giving medical aid before he was taken to a hospital, but police said the man died of his injuries.KCRA 3 is working to gather details on the victim's identity and the motive behind the shooting.See news happening?
