A 23-year-old man was arrested on Monday for a shooting that killed another man in Stockton, according to the police department. The shooting occurred on Aug. 30 in the area of Albany and Astor drives. Officials said an 18-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, but later died from his injuries on Sept. 16.Stockton police identified the shooting suspect as Walter Burgess. The police department's Gang Street Enforcement Team arrested Burgess during a traffic stop. Burgess was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on a homicide charge. Officials have not yet identified the shooting victim, or shared additional details about what led up to the shooting. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
