Arkansas couple killed: Andrew James McGann, accused of killing Clinton, Cristen Brink, attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park
There is a local connection to the apparently random murder of an Arkansas couple.
Friends say the elementary school teacher accused in the crime graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park in 2015.
Andrew James McGann made his first court appearance on Friday morning.
He is facing capital murder charges in the stabbing deaths of Clinton and Cristen Brink.
Prosecutors say they died protecting their two young daughters on a hiking trail at a state park.

Police say the arrest was made after the girls provided a description of the suspect.
McGann allegedly left behind blood and DNA.
Prosecutors say there is no connection between the suspect and the victims.
