A south suburban police officer fatally shot someone Monday night, who was holding a replica gun and had made threats to law enforcement, police said.
Alsip police officers responded about 10 p.m. to the area of 124th Street and South Cicero Avenue after a female 911 caller reported she was being chased by an active shooter.
The caller placed several more 911 calls to Alsip police, saying she was armed and had killed a cop, and she would kill another police officer, police said.
Police tracked the caller's phone to Burr Oak Cemetery, located on the east side of the 12400-block of South Cicero Avenue.
Officers found a female suspect there, who scaled a fence and crossed Cicero Avenue, police said.
Police chased her and told her to stop.
She eventually turned and pointed "a firearm" at officers, police said.
An officer then shot her.

Police did not immediately provide any additional information about the person killed.
A replica Colt firearm was recovered on the scene, police said.
Police said this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
