Alleged Lime e-scooter groper targets women on West Side, Chicago police say

Another victim has reported to Chicago police they've been groped a man on an e-scooter.

CPD said the alleged incidents date back to mid-August.

The latest happened on Sept. 18 in the 800*block of S. Independence Boulevard.

Victims said the young man approaches women while riding a Lime green and white electric scooter and gropes them before fleeing.

Police said the suspect has attempted to cause a minor accident with the victims while riding the scooter in some instances.

The suspect also approached women walking or awaiting public transportation, police said.

The incidents occurred in the:
-1100-block of North Hamlin Avenue on August 15 at 7:50 p.m.
-800-block of South Sacramento Boulevard on September 02 at 9:00 a.m.
-3700-block of West Polk Street on September 10 at 3:26 p.m.
-900-block of South Central Park Avenue on September 15 at 10:23 p.m.
-300-block of South Kedzie Ave. on September 16, at 8:40 a.m.
-800-block of S. Independence Blvd. on September 18 at 6:30 a.m.
