The family of Adam Toledo is challenging a court order that allows more benefits for a former officer involved in the teen's shooting.
In July, a Cook County judge ordered an increase in the monthly disability benefit payments to former Chicago Police Officer Eric Stillman.
Stillman shot and killed the 13-year-old during a chase in 2021. He was not charged but it was recommended he be fired .
Stillman was diagnosed with PTSD, and the pension board determined he should get 50% of his salary. However, a judge determined it should be 75%.
There will be a hearing next week on the motion to stop the benefit payment increase.
