A 71-year-old man was shot multiple times in Pleasanton Saturday and is in serious condition.
A 50-year-old suspect was arrested.
Police say it happened around 3 p.m. after a dispute at a home on Vineyard Avenue.

"From what I've heard, he was announcing it was all in self-defense. So, obviously we don't know the circumstances. Some people say it was a self-defense issue. Others say it was just malice intent," said resident Elias Pratt. "You know, stuff like this obviously doesn't seem to happen in this neighborhood. And hopefully it'll be the last for a long time."
Police believe it was an isolated incident.
They are still investigating how the two knew each other and the motive behind the shooting.
