5 people shot near San Francisco's Great Highway, police say
Five people were wounded in a mass shooting in San Francisco's Outer Richmond on Saturday night, police said on X. According to a post on social media, police responded to the area near Fulton Street and the Great Highway about 9 p.m. Officers at the scene then discovered multiple gunshot victims and rendered aid.Authorities said Sunday morning that five victims, four juveniles and one adult, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further details have been provided by police. "This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no general threat to the public," police said Sunday. "SFPD investigators are working diligently on this active and open investigation.""This kind of violence does not represent who we are as a city, and we will never tolerate it," Mayor Daniel Lurie wrote on X.
