Four young men are charged with murder after a basketball game in the Bronx ended in bloodshed when several shooters opened fire.
Police announced charges against them on Sunday night -- all four are charged with murder, and three are charged with gang assault.
The youngest of the alleged gunmen is just 16-years-old.
Bullets hit five people, killing one man on Saturday in Haffen Park off Gunther Ave in Baychester.
Police believe the shooting was gang related with as many as 48 shots fired.
Jaceil Banks, 32, was killed after being struck in the chest. Two others were shot in the back, as well as a 42-year-old man hit in the arm.
The youngest of the five victims, a 17-year-old girl, Anthonaya Campbell remains in critical condition .
"She must have got up and tried to run//my grandson was there and he ran up and thought that she was dead. And my other daughter went down there and panicked and somebody else started to do CPR" said Campbell's mother.
Jennifer Talbot says her daughter dreamed of becoming a speech pathologist to help others express themselves. Now, Campbell can't speak after being shot in the back of her head. The bullet is now lodged behind her eye.
"It's heartbreaking. You don't give birth to your children to see them//set up to life support unit," said Talbot.
Talbot adds that her daughter is not breathing on her own. They planned to give her to give her a blood transfusion on Sunday, so they are hoping for the best.
